Bokarina to Currimundi lake

11 December 2021 Sunshine Coast Walks 0 Comments

This is an easy 7.4km out and back trail from Currimundi to Bokarina.

Activities: Walking, running, dog walking is permitted along pathway & beach but not through Conservation park at the end.

Parking: You can start from Bokarina or Currimundi side and park at multiple dead end streets that join the foreshore. There is parking along Longboard Parade, Bokarina. I parked at end of Blue Haven Ct, near beach access 245 and walked along beach before joining back onto pathway.

The Pathway

The pathway is well maintained along this section and is ideal for dog walking or cycling. It is a wide path all the way to Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park. Along the foreshore the path is shady but through the conservation park, it is low scrub so little shade and is a sandy track. If you have bikes, prams or a dog, then you can skip the loop through conservation park.

Currimundi Lake & Beach

If you follow the sandy trail through Kathleen McArthur park you come to the junction of Currimundi lake and beach. Then you can walk back along the beach for a section before joining back onto the pathway back.
