This is an easy 4.7km out and back trail along the Coastal pathway from Noosa National Park and down to Alexandria Bay beach. You can extend this walk by walking along this beautiful stretch of beach but it was peaking on high tide and there wasn’t much beach to walk along on the day I did this walk.
Activities: Walking, running, dog walking.
Parking: Carpark at end of Park Rd, Noosa Heads.
This is a beautiful scenic walk along the coastline before heading inland through lovely bush trail to reach Alexandria bay.
Coastal Views
Spectacular scenery along the first section of this busy pathway. The beaches at Tea Tree bay and Granite bay are popular with surfers and you can easily see why each of these are named tea tree and granite.
The Pathway
The pathway is wheelchair friendly for the first section to Dolphin point, then it is a well maintained dirt/sandy trail. Mostly shady with a few open sections. It is a busy trail along the coastline, then becomes quieter once you head inland.
Alexandria bay is fairly quiet as it is only accessible on foot from either sides.
