This is an easy 4km circuit along forestry trail between Peregian Springs and Verrierdale. There is also a small park nearby if you start from Peregian Springs side with a picnic table.
Activities: Walking, dog walking, running.
Parking: You can park on Doonan Bridge road east, opposite the Power station or end of Thomson Place, Peregian springs. You can start and finish at the park, which is on the corner of Lakeside Drive and The Avenue, Peregian Springs.
The Trail
You can access the trail from a few locations in Peregian Springs and midweek it is very quiet. The trail has sections with rocks which have been placed on wet areas so you can now access this trail after rain, however the rocky areas would be hard to run on due to loose rocky surface, but walking is fine.
Doonan Creek
Not much of a creek but below shows the creek during dry season and during wet season.
“I will not follow where the path may lead, but I will go where there is no path and I will leave a trail”
