Cotton Tree to Alex Headland

This is an easy 6.4km out and back trail along foreshore pathway and beach, near Maroochydore.

Activities: Walking, running, swim, dog walking, playground.

Parking: You can start from either The Esplanade, Cotton Tree park or near Alex Heads surf club.

Starting from Cotton Tree, enjoy the pathway and then along the river.

The Pathway

It isn’t as scenic as some sections of coastal pathway but it’s still a lovely walk through Cotton tree and Alex Headland.

Not a lot of shade along this walk. There are toilets, playgrounds and picnic areas as well as drinking water near Alex heads. Some sections of pathway are along footpath.
