This is an easy 8km out and back trail along the Maroochy river pathway from Picnic point Esplanade to Fisherman’s rd Bushland Conservation Reserve in Maroochydore.
Activities: Walking, running, cycling & dog walking, water activities, picnic tables.
Parking: Anywhere along Bradman Ave, Maroochydore.
Maroochy River
This is a popular pathway for walkers, joggers, families and fishing. The road noise does spoil this walk due to the amount of traffic along Bradman Ave. I also noticed the traffic fumes around the intersection near motorway but I am quite sensitive to fumes so most people probably wouldn’t worry too much about that.
Chambers Island
You can also cross over the bridge to include a loop around Chambers island where there is a sailing club. This is also dog friendly and popular for fishing and families.
Bushland conservation Reserve
This is a lovely quiet parkland at the end of Bradman Ave opposite Fisherman’s road.
Pathway
There is a concrete pathway the whole length of this walk. The pathway loops around under the Ken Nell bridge to head around to Picnic point.
