This is an easy and beautiful 2.5km out and back walk through Buderim Forest park and then a loop around Buderim falls. Definitely a favorite place and is very busy on weekends and school holidays but lovely and quiet midweek.
Activities: Walking, swim.
Parking: Carpark off Harry’s lane, Buderim. You can also park near the falls at Buderim Forest Park off Quorn close, Buderim and do the trail in reverse.
There is a public toilet at the Harry’s lane side of this trail and a restaurant – “Harry’s on Buderim” which I have never been to, but have heard its nice.
Waterfall
You can get to the falls from the trail after the boardwalk and there is a bit of rock hopping but nothing too difficult. The falls can get busy on weekends with people cooling off in the rockpools.
Boardwalk
The walk starts along a boardwalk, then the trail continues uphill to the falls along a rocky and dirt trail. The area is filled with strangler figs, ferns and lots of birdlife.
Forest Park
The Trail
After the boardwalk, you can follow the trail to the waterfall and this loops over the creek, where you will need to rock hop across, and then up some steps and across the bridge over the falls. If you follow the trail it will loop back down to the bottom of the falls and then you can head back the same way.
Or simply go exploring and you won’t get lost as it’s not that big but I would highly recommend you follow every trail to ensure you don’t miss any of it.
