This is an easy 6.6km loop along Lake foreshore and then through forest and along a gravel road back to start.
Activities: Walking, running.
Parking: End of Lakewood Drive, Peregian Beach.
The Trail
I like to start this loop by walking back up Lakewood drive to the forest entrance on right on the corner of Monak road. This gets the boring bit out of the way first, then continue a short distance until you see the forest trail heading north and then take a left along trail when you get to the National park sign.
Follow the directions on map below to loop back around to the lake foreshore. Then you can enjoy the lake before you get back to your car.
Lake Weyba
Lake Weyba is a shallow salt water lake. It’s very peaceful and is home to many stingrays. The reflections on the water when conditions are calm are amazing.
“Perhaps the truth depends on a walk around the lake.”
– Wallace Stevens
This is one trail that I would recommend downloading AllTrails app and follow the trail directions.
