This is an easy 6.6km out and back trail with a loop around Noosa Spit along the river, through mangroves and then along the pathway and boardwalk beside Noosa Heads beach up to National Park entrance.
Activities: Walking, dog walking, swim.
Parking: Carpark Noosa heads or any of the parking areas between end of Hastings street and Noosa Spit.
This is one of my favorite walks as it is easy and is dog friendly with an off leash area on Noosa Spit where your pooch can have a swim. There are picnic tables along river and toilets at end of Hastings street and also at start of Noosa National Park.
The Pathway
The trail is mostly a paved pathway but some sections between the river and spit are sandy trails but it is easy to follow. Includes a variety of scenery and good clearly marked pathways so easy to navigate.
Dogs are not allowed on Noosa Main beach but there is a pathway where they are allowed if you follow the trail.
Noosa Spit
Lots of dog walkers with an off-leash dog area at the end, and this area is popular with Stand up paddle boarders, fishing and families due to the calm water.
Noosa main beach
Continue walk along Noosa’s main beach on pathway and then take the path and boardwalk through to entrance of Noosa National Park. Then return back to start.
Boardwalk to National Park
If you would like to continue further along this spectacular coastal pathway then continue through National park to Hells Gate Noosa. (Note- Dogs are not permitted in the National Park).
